I voted ... Beyond my conscious ... I voted my soul as for over a year I have witnessed evil and greed choose dehumanizing ideological hatred over LIFE ... Ignorance over LOVE. I voted for everyone ever outcast, stigmatized, demonized, othered, murdered, massacred, ethnocided, genocided ... I voted for people and the planet, not the billionaires, not the bullets, bombs, or bulldozers. I voted for everyone who has understanding, empathy, love, and respect for anyone and everyone else who lives differently than themselves from religion to identity.

For the first time in decades I left the political fallacy of the US duopoly, the illusion of choice provided by our morally broken political system. A system captured by corporate and politically conservative money that hold racialized myopic ethnonationalist, classist, and gendered views.

I left the illusion of democracy as in selling the idea of power to the people, when it is half truths... I am not being apathetic, but critical to the notion that to vote for either major party is no act of power at all. That is the fear vote, that is a comfort vote, an all too familiar vote between the lesser of two evils. We should all underscore the term EVIL here!

Evil abounds...

As we are on the eve of nothingness, where most Americans lack the backbone for change, by NOT voting for anything other than a Republican or Democrat, as both evils lead us down violent paths. Internal and external violence ... This travesty of potential outcomes lacks creativity and imagination; to imagination a new way of being. When the fact is, we can reject it all and vote for a society cooperating in abundance and affirmations. Yet here we sit, every channel, peddling the illusion of choice ... And we haven't even touched upon $ in politics.

As an artist I vote for LOVE, PEACE, JUSTICE ... There is no room for evil in that.

WE ARE THE DEAD ONES (Essentiality) on 9/6/2020 by Gregory Esparza

I wrote this song WE ARE THE DEAD ONES a few years back, and like many creative endeavors the sparks of creativity come and go... But its Labor Day weekend and just as I was readying the sink to do the dishes... Yes my friends, domestic labor is labor, and I do my share... Well, the idea of labor and the melody to my song came to me... But, I couldn't find the original lyrics expand upon, so I opened a new document to jam it out... Here is WE ARE THE DEAD ONES (Essentiality) dedicated to all the essential workers taking the risks and keeping this nation functioning on as close to normal as can possibly be.

By Gregory Esparza 9-6-2020

We are the dead ones (whoo ooh)
But we’ve never been more alive
We are the dead ones’s (whoo ooh)
Every day is a day to survive

We live
we work
we give we die
We love and spill our blood in life
We do the job
We take the risk
We do it for more than just ourselves
Again, and again and again

We are the dead ones (whoo ohh)
We are the army of labor
We are the good ones (whoo ohh)
We can hardly say no to a job

We live
We work
We give we die
We love and spill our blood in life
We are essential
That’s a fact
We do the job
We take the risk
Again, and again and again
And we do it for you
And we do it for us

Cheap labor (ooh ooh) - Expendability
Hard labor (ooh ooh) - Exploitability
Necessary labor (Mmm mmm) - Essentiality
Good labor (ooh ooh) - For all of humanity
Is done by you and by me (x2)
